Fuel prices are high..Heart is fueling.....

Often, I hear the statement  "If fuel(petrol, diesel) prices are high, people will contemplate on modes of public transportation". This may sound like a feel good argument, but in reality, we are covering up our inefficiencies as a society and trying to sound noble. Public transportation like buses, train, autos do need fuel as well. If we go true with the above statement, the  number of private vehicles plying can be reduced, but again, for how long? Will that bring down the fuel price? So, this feel good argument gets defeated right there.

We all know, the spiraling negative effect this has, do's and don'ts, alternatives to ensure the fuel price are kept at reasonable rates for the commoners to afford. But as a society and the policy makers/executors should have the will to implement for the overall well-being of the society
